That first day of a marriage is… magic. A tear-inducing, holler-with-joy, embrace-upon-embrace-upon-embrace kind of magic, and you want to remember it.You want to remember the overflow of love present… how your mom cried happy tears as she placed your veil, that last glance you stole at your dad as he walked you down the aisle, and your beloved’s face as you got closer and closer. This is the day when your two families join in joyful celebration to throw all the confetti in honor of your new family. Of all days, this one is up there among the best, and you need photographers you can trust to capture timeless images regardless of wild weather, timeline trouble or any other unforeseen variable.
This is our ninth year of photographing weddings professionally. I can hardly believe it! In those years, we have truly seen and photographed it all, and, still — with each wedding, with the addition and new branch of our photo family — I joyfully share that I LOVE THIS WORK!
Before every wedding, Chris and I sit in the car and pray together. We pray for our couple and their families, and for our ability to document the first day of their marriage with inventiveness and expertness. The tears, full-on belly-laughs, emotional embraces, and generations of family legacy that we’ve been able to photograph makes us fist pump the air with gratitude.
The best part? Our relationship with our couples last far beyond the wedding day. We become part of your family, and you part of ours.
Chris and I are excited for you to keep scrolling. Our photographic experience is not the typical one. It’s so much more!

FAQ
WHAT'S YOUR PRICING?
As wedding photographers, we are storytellers. We work from the heart to capture authentic, creative, beautiful and heartfelt images as they unfold throughout your day. Because everyone’s different, our wedding packages can be custom tailored to be just what you need. Our base package is $2,500 and offers 8 hours of wedding coverage by two photographers. Check availability and get more by contacting us here.
HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL?
As far as you’d like! We love to travel, and being from the wee-sized but wonderful Troy, Texas, we often do to get to travel to our fabulous couples. Included all our collections is 90 miles of travel at no charge. We photograph all around Waco, Temple, Killeen, Salado, Belton, Austin, College Station, Woodway and Gatesville with no additional fees. For anything over 90 miles, you can add a $1/mile to your total. (If your wedding is a destination wedding, please reach out to us. Our packages are slightly different for destination weddings.)
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
Phew! Let’s see… since every wedding is different, the best I can do is to offer an estimate. A typical wedding client receives around 800-1,200 images for their wedding day coverage.
DO YOU EDIT ALL OF OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?
You betcha! Every image that you receive will be hand-edited for color correction, skin softening, exposure adjustment, contrast and our secret recipe that gives your images that “Steph & Chris” look!
How will we know how much time we need for pictures on the wedding day? Can you help me with the timeline?
Absolutely! For our couples without a wedding planner, Steph is very involved in working as a team to create a solid timeline for your wedding day. (Also, check it: our our tips for creating a stress-free wedding day timeline.)
How does the album design process work?
Aaaaah, Our favorite part! Not only are our albums beautiful, but we think they’re magic.. to be able to sit down together and remember the joy of your wedding. We treasure ours! We promise to make this process as easy as possible for you. Built into your online gallery is the ability to chose favorite images. You use this function to mark all of your favorite images you’d like included in your album. Using your favorites, Steph designs your album and sends it to you for approval. You make any changes and, we get it just right before sending it to print. We’re in love with these albums!
How long does it take before we receive our photographs and products?
You will have your digital wedding images in your possession on your one-month anniversary. What a way to celebrate! Any prints you order are delivered within a week. Your album, once approved by you, takes a few weeks to come in.
Can we print our own images?
You betcha! Feel free! Before you do so, we do want you to know that many of the common places to print your images do not have printers calibrated to show your image’s true colors. This means that the print you hold in your hand might not look exactly like the digital image you see on your screen. To get accurate colors and photos that last, we recommend printing your images through our professional printing lab. It’s super simple and accessible right though your online gallery!
How do we book you for our wedding?
To make this thing official, all we need is a signed contract and $500 retainer. When you are ready, I send you an online to you so you can read the terms of contract before signing. After online signing, the retainer can be paid online or by mailing a check.
What kind of equipment do you use?
We carry four top-of-the-line Canon bodies with us and a large variety of lenses, plus backups. Oh, the backups! Chris is the king of preparedness! We regularly ship our equipment back to Canon for cleaning and upkeep to ensure its performance. We also work with lights to either add just a bit of pop to a natural lit day, or to bring lots of drama and emotion to your collection of images.
FAQ
FAQ
If the wedding is canceled, will the retainer fee be refunded?
No, the retainer fee would not be refunded. The retainer is what guarantees that we are holding the date exclusively for you and turn down all other commissions for that date.
May our family and friends take pictures with their cameras?
For sure! We’ve watched the trend of “unplugged” weddings with great interest, but really, we want everyone to be happy on your wedding day.
What do we do if it rains on our wedding day?
No worries! We’ve photographed in all kinds of weather. With Steph & Chris, you can feel confident that you’ve hired professionals who know exactly how to create and manipulate light indoors and out. (You can check this post on what we do when there’s rain on your wedding day)
How long is the engagement session or bridal portrait session?
We shoot anywhere from an hour-and-a-half to two hours. Many of our couples are drawn to our dramatic sunset and dusk portraits. Those types of images are captured around 20 minutes before sunset, continuing until about 20 minutes after sunset.
Can we schedule our engagement session or bridal portrait session on the weekend?
Maybe! We’ll do our very best! Our Saturdays are often booked with weddings. If you can meet on a weeknight, you options for a date that work best for you open up drastically!
What happens if the weather turns bad for our engagement or bridal portrait session?
Steph jokes that if the local meteorologist ever needed a last minute stand-in, she would be a shoe-in. A day or two before the session she obsessively checks the weather and the hour-by-hour forecast. We try our very best to stick to the plan, but if the rain is unavoidable we reschedule. Unless you’re up for a rainy-shoot! That would be fun, too!
OK, biz questions: Do you have insurance?
We do! We do! Though, please give us an early heads up if your venue needs proof of policy. It can take a few days to have the certificate updated properly.
