Mini Sessions | Open for Booking

It still feels like summer at our house.

We live outside the school calendar around here, so we’re still knee deep in my favorite season. I can hear the frogs singing their night song through the window as the ceiling fan’s slight thump thump keeps the unscripted beat.

I’m hanging on tight to these last summer days, but just a few flips of the calendar show… it’s time to start talking about the holidays.

One of our favorite holiday traditions — the Christmas card mini session.

I’ve been thinking about it, and I believe the Christmas mini session is one of the most legacy-building things we do. How? Let me explain.

Last night, Daniel asked to wear a pair of Caleb’s old pajamas — Batman, with footies. I told him they would be too big, but to go for it if he wanted.

As they zipped up to his chin… my heart seized. They fit.

They fit. These pajamas that I would have sworn were far too large to fit my littlest did.

We have been photographing some of the same families for five years. You wouldn’t believe how much a family can change in that time. Little bitty babies turn into joy-and-laughter overflowing 4 year olds. A few inches of growth here and there is monumental when you compare year to year.

If you’re not watching for it. If you’re not trying on the Batman pajamas, you’ll miss it. I’ll miss it.

Here are the details: — $95 for 30 minutes together and 26 Christmas cards.

We’ll laugh, play and capture the joy, then a few days later, we’ll meet up in person and you’ll view your images. It’ll be there that you’ll decide on your Christmas card design and which images you’d like to order for your home or for gifts. When you book, we’ll go ahead and get a date on the calendar for when you can see your pictures.
