This day was special for so many reasons. First and foremost, Jessica and Tre are two of the most joyful people ever. They are as fun, smart, generous and tenacious. AND they married each other! Power couple!

Knowing Jessica for years and years and years, the first time I met Tre was at her older brother’s wedding, which we had the honor of photographing. Then again at her older sister’s wedding, which we also got to photograph. This is the third of the Maedgen sibling weddings we’ve gotten to document, with the fourth coming next year. (I get teary eyed thinking of these things. It is the height of specialness!) Watching Jessica and Tre at these weddings, one could tell… they fit.

Peanut butter and jelly. Macaroni and cheese. Jessica and Tre.

Their wedding day, held at Brick & Barrel in Killeen (a gorgeous small-wedding venue in Central Texas) , went by in a blur of laughter and joy. The thought and care they put into every detail could create a master’s study of small, intimate weddings

It was wonderful.
