When Amy and I talked on the phone for the first time, I couldn’t have known…

“It might seem dorky doing a friend photo shoot,” she said. Three families would be involved. The husbands–Adam, Eric and Chad–had all played football together for UMHB. They all fell in love around the same time, and the girlfriends became wives… and the wives became mothers.

And they did it all together. Dating, engagement celebrations, bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen suits. They brought housewarming gifts and baby gifts and were some of the first to snuggle their new babies.

It was beautiful, really. Amy, Katie and Melissa, it was beautiful to see the way you care for each other and love each other’s children. As a momma myself, there’s not a whole lot of anything better than to watch your child be loved by a dear friend.

I never (ever) thought that the morning would be dorky but, I also didn’t know that it would be so meaningful.
