Oh my.
If I could really tell you what I think about these two… if I could fully express the depth of admiration and multilayered love. Well, I think I would never stop writing.
I would tell you about how, on the day Andrew surprised Kayci with a proposal, I was hiding behind a cracked door… watching it all happen. I would tell you that a million different expressions of love were showed on Andrew’s face as he kneeled and asked for forever.
I’d tell you that later, when everyone was eating hamburgers and pasta salad, I asked him what he loved most about Kayci.
He said he loved her patience.
What better gift can you give a Marine but loving, steady patience? He’d just returned from boot camp, a place short on patience. What a sweet reprieve he has in Kayci.
Well, two days before he left for more training, Kayci and Andrew met up with us for some engagement photos.
To protect the innocent (an employee gave bad information), I’ll just say that it did not go as planned and we had to leave right as the sun was settling in to a prized glow. Jumping in the truck, we put it in drive not knowing where to go when we saw a small neighborhood church with an open green lot.
Patience.
What a gift to watch it in action.
Love.
What an honor to capture it for them.
Sigh. Beauty.
Love,
Stephanie
